ELA post continued
What this book really made me think was that there are many kinds of people, and girls aren't always the cooperative little wallflowers that we were made out to be. Luzie keeps her passion, parcour, hidden from her parents by lying about her injuries. She expects Leander of the Sky Patrol to be like your usual guardian angel, but he isn't. For instance, he isn't the stereotypical little boy with blond hair and blue eyes and a white dress. He looks like a relatively normal dude, only smaller. I think they both need to keep their character in check as they react to things like that, because the position in which they've been plaed is one in which they have to overcome those stereotypes.
Also, this book made me know that not all relationships are going to work, no matter who you are. Luzie and her mom have a big disconnect when it comes to the color pink and make up. She and her dad also face challenges because she keeps the most important thing about herself hidden from him more than from anyone else.
